This Web site is the work of the University of Connecticut Libraries' Social Science & Geospatial Data Services Team.

The Team's mission is to introduce a Social Science & Geospatial Data Service to the University of Connecticut community. This service will provide users with data, as well as provide contacts to centers that can provide additional assistance with data. This Web site is intended for University of Connecticut faculty, students, and staff. Not all services are available to public users.

The Social Science & Geospatial Data Team at the University of Connecticut Libraries supports the acquisition and use of statistical and spatial data in the research and teaching of the UConn community through:

  • reference assistance
  • instructional sessions for classes
  • assistance in locating and acquiring sources for statistics
  • assistance in locating and acquiring datasets
  • help with locating and using U.S. Census data
  • access to geospatial data through the Map and Geographic Information Center (MAGIC)
