• Project: added rehearsal halls, practice rooms, classrooms, studios, new library, recording studio, computer lab; renovated existing spaces
• Project approved by legislature in 1989
• Project construction began April 1998

• Square Feet (Music Library Bldg.): 33,208 sq. ft.
• Square Feet (library only): 14,148 sq. ft., an increase from 2,471 sq. ft. in old facility
• Music Library Collections: 60,000 volumes
• Architectural Details: Three levels, capacity to add a fourth floor at a later date. Approximately 600 glass panes compose library's exterior.
• Public Served in 1999: UConn/Storrs community; 21,000 UConn students (289 in music, 142 in drama)
